Hello, my name is Rafael "Ralph" Sergio Contreras III, welcome to Contreras Designs. I created this website to showcase my work in Graphic Design, Illustration and Comic Book art. In this time of social networking and easy access to communication with so many people, this site is home base for my art work and the happenings of my life.

I've been involved in the Graphics Arts field for over 10 years now, working with individuals, small businesses, corporations, and for myself. Design is my chosen profession and I really enjoy it. I remember my first computer illustrations on my Apple IIGS way back in 1988 when I was just a kid. I would stay up all night drawing my favorite comic heroes in Paintworks Plus. I've been working with design in one form or another ever since then.

I graduated from New Mexico State University in spring 2000 with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design. After college my joy for comics prompted me to open and run my own successful comic books store for 5 years. After closing the doors to my comic shop I dove into the world of newsprint advertising as a graphic designer. I found myself working for fast paced small town newspapers to the even faster paced city of Las Vegas, NV. I currently reside in Santa Fe, NM where I work as a production artist. I'm also working on creating my own comic book and continuing my education to receive a degree in web design.
